Symptoms of depression can affect all aspects of a person’s life.  Depression can feel very physical and it can make everyday stress more difficult to cope with and manage, often interfering in the pleasure of participating in the activities a person normally enjoys. Relationships may become stressed and a feeling of being disconnected from others may occur. If untreated, depression can go on unnecessarily for weeks, months and even years. Depression is almost always treatable. Research indicates that both a combination of medication and therapy is the most effective approach to treating depression.
