Mindfulness Therapy

"Paying attention in a particular way:  on purpose in the present moment and non-judgementally."  (Kabat-Zinn, 1994).

Mindfulness therapy teaches clients the principles of mindfulness and how to apply them to respond to stress, pain, illness, psychological distress and demands of daily life.  Mindfulness demands a complete experience of the present moment without the use of destructive avoidance and reactive patterns.  Sadness, anger and joy are fully experienced allowing you to fully engage in life.

"Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves." – Carl Jung
"We cannot change anything unless we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses." – Carl Jung
"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change." – Carl Rogers
